Adobe Lightroom or Apple Aperture?

Do any photographers out there have experience with Adobe Lightroom or Apple Aperture?

I’ve gotten to the point where I’d like a bit more control over my photos in post-production, but I’m not interested in spending hours and hours sitting in front of a computer screen editing my photos, so ideally, I’d like something fairly simple.

If it makes a difference, I’m using a 2.4GHz MacBook Pro with 4GB of memory.
