Soundcloud

I need another social media account like I need another hole in my head, but because this one is music-focused, I figure I get a pass.

I just signed up for Soundcloud, and if you’re viewing the web version of my blog, you’ll see a Soundcloud Dropbox on the left-hand side of the page. Instead of butchering a basic description of the site and how it works, I’ll let the video link at the bottom of this post do the talking.

As some may remember, I posted something a few weeks ago about an idea I had to have a crowd-sourced jukebox playlist, and while it’s not exactly what I had in mind, I think it could do the trick. If I get enough submissions, maybe I’ll post a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly recap of everything that’s been submitted.

As my friends and family know, I’m always interested in discovering new music, so if you’ve got something you think I’d be into, send it my way! Conversely, want to torture me with the worst music you can find? Put in the Dropbox.
