renbostelaar-deactivated2017031: Hey Ren, How do you like your X100? I love your shots with it, and I'm toying around with the idea of essentially trading in my big 24-70 L lens for one. The lens is just too bulky and heavy for me, since most of my photos are taken while I'm walking around, which means that I'm more likely to just keep my camera in my bag when I have that attached as opposed to my 50mm prime. Thanks! *no need to respond publicly to this. Feel free to email me / hit up my ask box.

Hey dude.

I love my X100. It’s quirky and a little hard to get used to if you’ve had a DSLR in your hands for ages, but it’s really an amazing little camera. I take it everywhere - it’s even more practical to carry around than a DSLR with a 50 on it. I’d suggest playing with one for a while before pulling the trigger, though. It’s not a cheap camera to just buy for the hell of it. It’s slow to focus in low light and it’s never going to keep up with a DSLR in terms of shot-to-shot, but for a precise and methodical camera for serious nerds you can’t do better.
