Lately I’ve been (somewhat) seriously considering selling / trading my Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens in exchange for a compact camera, maybe something like the Fujifilm X100.

It’s an incredible lens, but as an amateur photographer who does most of their shooting on the go and for the enjoyment of it, I’m thinking that it would be great to have something small that I can take out on the town, while also getting great images.

I’m not a “gear guy” by any means, but [as I mentioned a few days ago](http://drewshannon.net/post/8085478741/minolta-maxxum-5-sigma-28-105mm-f3-8-5-6-uc-iii?ref=drewshannon.net), the fact that my DSLR is quite bulky with this lens often results in my leaving my camera at home or in my bag.
