A New Direction

I’m incredibly happy and proud to announce that on March 29th, I will – contingent on a few HR formalities – be starting my new job at Mindshare as an Assistant Media Planner. I don’t want to inadvertently get myself or anyone else in trouble by jumping the gun and saying too much, but I’m extremely excited about this new opportunity and think that it’s a great fit for me. Mindshare is one of the most innovative companies out there (see? Fast Company Magazine agrees), and immediately upon speaking with the folks there, it was clear that they’re smart, passionate, and love what they do. Plus, the office environment ain’t half bad either. Needless to say, it felt like the perfect fit. I’m sure I’ll have much more to say on everything once I start, but I couldn’t keep my mouth shut any longer. Another bonus is that I now have a week off leading up to my start date. It’ll be nice to have some time to prepare for the job, but also to lounge around without feeling guilty about submitting resumes or applying for jobs. Finally, I briefly want to thank everyone who has helped me along throughout my job search process. This has truly felt like a group effort in many respects, and I’m so lucky to have colleagues, friends, and family offering both moral support as well as business contacts and leads. Thank you all for pulling for me.
